Ravishanker is responsible for the setting up of WebMotion Tech. He has been involved in various IT related setups and companies since 1983.
Having been in the IT “scene” for close to 40 years has been instrumental in helping him shape his thinking process. What started out at pushing products and services to the client has evolved over the years into a much more creative approach involving new marketing terminology and processes.
It’s now the era of providing solutions focused on the clients requirements. Of course, the positioning of new technology requires a rethink of the old ways. The internet has been instrumental in the growth of adoption for new technologies and new solution. Having had the experience spanning the early days of computing working on dBase and writing code till the wee hours, and now adopting the newest methodologies of application development has been a great journey. He still writes code but in a newer refined way as opposed to hard coding. Ravi now works on developing websites using WordPress and is also a student of Kotlin (which he really loves!). His most recent website development was for KKGMayfair, for an equally passionate individual, Adrian Kessler.
Ravi is also passionate about filmmaking and has directed a number of short films, one of which was shown at the Johor Film Fest. He had also recently in 2021 directed and filmed a music video called “Shukriya” for the Maldives Cultural Centre in Malaysia. He is the Programme Consultant for a TV series which was shown on Maldives National TV. You’ll be able to view some of his works at ravishankerfilms.
WebMotion Tech is a company founded by Ravi in November 2019. The primary aim of the company is to provide Web Development as well as WordPress training. The idea is to produce websites that embodied the principal of responsiveness and fluidity. The initial service offerings has since been expanded to provide additional products and services that fitted the overall evolution of the company into the Cloud related space and security related tools and applications.
